This Privacy Policy explains how Prelien Pro (“Prelien Pro,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our website, API, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account data: name, email address, company name, and authentication credentials.
• Billing data: billing contact details and payment identifiers. Card details are processed and stored by our payment processor (Stripe), not by us.
• Compliance data: information you submit through the API — divisions, contacts, projects, parties, jobsites, notices, waivers, pay applications, and related documents.
• Support communications: messages you send us and their contents.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and log data: API request metadata, IP address, timestamps, user agent, rate-limit counters, and error diagnostics.
• Cookies: the marketing site and dashboard use strictly necessary cookies for session management and your theme preference. We do not use advertising cookies.

2. How we use information

• Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services.
• Authenticate users, enforce rate limits, and meter credit usage.
• Generate compliance documents and coordinate mail delivery with our fulfillment partners.
• Process payments and send billing and transactional notices.
• Respond to support requests and communicate about changes to the Services.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the Services), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Services), consent (where requested), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

• Service providers: infrastructure hosting (Laravel Cloud / AWS), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, error monitoring, and print/mail fulfillment vendors, each bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
• Construction Lien Services (CLS): compliance data is exchanged with the underlying CLS system that serves as the system of record for regulated filings.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Prelien Pro, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain account and compliance data for as long as your account is active and thereafter as needed to meet legal, accounting, audit, and recordkeeping requirements applicable to construction payment compliance records. Log data is retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. You may request deletion of your account, subject to records we are required to keep.

6. Security

We encrypt data in transit with TLS and at rest, restrict access on a least-privilege basis, maintain audit trails, and monitor for anomalies. See our Security page for details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International transfers

We operate primarily in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@prelienpro.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. Account holders can also update much of their information directly in the dashboard.

9. Children

The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the dashboard or email. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
